Africinvest is opening a new office in Kenya

Africinvest is strengthening its presence in Sub-Saharan Africa by the opening of a new office in Kenya that will enable it invest in mid-sized companies in the region through its Pan African Africinvest II and Africinvest Financial Services funds. The official launch is scheduled to take place on October 1st 2009 at the prestigious Nairobi Serena Hotel and will be presided jointly by the head of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance who is also a director of the East African Business council, Engineer Patrick Obath; and the MD of the Kenya Investment Authority, Ms Susan Kikwai. Other distinguished guests will include: AfricInvest board members, representatives of the investors, CEOs of mid and large companies including banks operating in the region, other fund managers already in the market, and CEOs of associations like the Nairobi Stock Exchange and African Venture Capital Association.
