Ziad Oueslati is co-founder of TunInvest-AfricInvest Group. He has extensive experience negotiating equity and quasi-equity operations. He has been responsible for raising several private equity and quasi-equity funds. Ziad has led the arrangement and placement of over $800 million in private equity funds, both locally and internationally. He acts as a board member for several North and Sub-Saharan African companies. Prior to co-founding Tuninvest Finance Group in 1994, Ziad held different management positions at Citibank in Tunis, where he was Head of Financial Institutions and the Capital Markets Department. Ziad holds a Master of Science in Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a graduate of the French engineering school École des Mines de Paris. Ziad is a Board member of PNB-NAPEO Tunisia, the African Venture Capital Association (AVCA), the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA) and its Africa Council, and the Association Tunisienne des Investisseurs en Capital (ATIC). He is also an Educational Counselor for undergraduates’ recruitment at MIT.
