 Tuninvest – Africinvest Group is an independent private equity fund manager founded in 1994 and controlled by its employees. The Group raised its first fund in 1994, and is currently investing its third generation of funds targeting growth SMEs in North and Sub-Saharan Africa.

2009 Third closing of Africinvest Fund II with Euro 108 million of capital commitments.
Strengthening the presence in Sub-Saharan Africa by the opening of new offices in Nigeria and Kenya.
2008 Final closing of Maghreb Private Equity Fund II (MPEF II) at Euro 124.5 millions making it the largest private equity fund targeting Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco.
2007 First closing of AfricInvest Financial Sector Fund in June 2007, a €20 million fund targeting financial services in the African continent with a focus on post-conflict countries and under-developed financial services
2006 Established MaghrebInvest in Algiers to lead and supervise Tuninvest’s operations in Algeria.
2005 Acted as advisor on major M&A and privatization deals in North Africa
2004 Raised Africinvest Fund I, a €34 million African Fund covering Francophone North, West and Central Africa, Ghana and Nigeria
2002 Raised the first regional fund Maghreb Private Equity Fund I (MPEF I), a Jersey-based $21 million fund, that targets investments in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia.
Raised Tuninvest Innovations, a fund focused on technology driven and innovative projects.
2001 Created MarocInvest Finance Group in Morocco
2000 Co-founded the African Venture Capital Association, in association with the Dutch Development Agency (FMO)
1998 Raised Tuninvest International Fund with Capital Commitments of USD 22 million
1994 Raised the first fund, 8 million dollars (Tuninvest Sicar currently listed on the Tunisian Stock Exchange) through an IPO and then a 4 million dollars follow on fund (Tunisie Sicar)
